Meet the People Behind lythoravensa
Our diverse team brings decades of combined experience in financial education, helping Australians build stronger relationships with their money through practical, accessible learning.
Our Leadership Team
Each member of our core team brings unique expertise and perspective, shaped by real-world experience in financial services, education, and community outreach across Australia.

Cordelia Thorne
Head of Financial Strategy
Cordelia spent eight years as a financial advisor in Brisbane before transitioning to education. She believes that understanding money shouldn't require a finance degree – just clear explanations and practical examples that relate to everyday life. Her approach focuses on breaking down complex budgeting concepts into manageable weekly goals.
Marcus Willoughby
Director of Educational Programs
After working in adult education for over a decade, Marcus joined lythoravensa to develop learning programs that actually stick. He's passionate about creating courses that work for people with busy lives – parents juggling multiple commitments, shift workers, and anyone who's tried to budget before but found traditional advice too rigid or unrealistic.
Verity Ashford
Community Outreach Coordinator
Verity coordinates our partnerships with community organizations throughout Queensland. Her background in social work helps her understand the real barriers people face when trying to manage money effectively. She's particularly focused on making financial education accessible to diverse communities and ensuring our programs reflect different cultural approaches to money management.
What Drives Our Work
We started lythoravensa because we kept meeting people who felt frustrated with traditional financial advice. Too often, budgeting tips assume everyone has the same income patterns, family situations, or relationship with money.
Real-World Application
Our methods work for irregular incomes, shared expenses, and the actual way people spend money – not textbook scenarios.
Cultural Awareness
We recognize that money management looks different across cultures and family structures, and we design our programs accordingly.
Ongoing Support
Financial education isn't a one-time event. We provide resources and community connections that continue beyond formal learning programs.
